My design wall is getting filled with the Farmers Wife 1930’s blocks. I make two blocks a week, for the QAL with VeryKerryBerry. They are fun and fairly easy paper pieced. The hard part is choosing the colors and prints.
Other projects in the works are the Coxcomb Medallion Bom. I made some headway this week finishing the appliqué swags, a bunch of the flying geese blocks and some quarter triangle square blocks. I need to make 2 more sampler blocks for it, and I think I am all caught up. I have to do the Rubies Diamonds and Garnets block for October yet. I also started a Bunny Hill Design pattern, Postcard Cuties for Winter. It’s a snowman appliqué wallhanging, primitive, in blues and tans. This is my hand work project for now.
PIQF is this week, YAY! I must try to keep the shopping in control there. I bought 47 yards of fabric this past weekend. A local yard sale had bolts of top quality cottons for 1.00 a yard. Catch was you had to buy the whole bolt. Great for backings and borders, I don’t feel guilty at all.
Linking up with Judy at Patchwork Times for Design Wall Monday.
how exciting! PIQF is my favorite quilt show so far! Lucky you! I hope to go again in a year or two. the farmers blocks are coming out lovely!
